2 Description of Change
2.1 Hardware Changes
The major changes for this product are encompassed by a hardware redesign to remove dependencies on
unstable EOL components. The table below gives an overview of the change. During the redesign
procedure, additional features were also added including status LEDs to give a visual indication of the
operational state.
2.2 Software Changes
In line with the hardware changes, the previous software application to configure the device address is no
longer applicable. Therefore, a new configuration tool is implemented called Netdiscover to find and set the
device address. It can also be used to launch the configuration portal of the device. The new hardware
versions address can also be set by the old tool for backwards compatibility.
3 Effect of Changes
Fit and form of the device remain the same with the addition of the LED indicators. The old products can be
directly interchanged by the new ones. The interfaces on the device configuration look and act the same.
Old saved configuration files cannot be directly imported.
