The STS-200 Steamer/Scale utilizes an open Steam
Generator. Water sprayed into the Steam Generator
surface flashes into steam immediately, but the miner-
als in the water do not steam. They stay on the Steam
Generator surface and accumulate. A small amount of
mineral deposits are needed for proper operation, but
a build-up of excessive mineral deposits causes poor
steaming efficiency, excessive moisture (wet steam)
and will eventually severely retard the steaming action
completely.
CLEANING STEAM GENERATOR
2. Remove the Top Cover from unit.
4. Clean Steam Generator free of any product spills.
NOTE: If the mineral deposits come off in flakes or
layers, build-up is excessive.
