In the Antex driver the bitrate is specified on a per-channel basis. Therefore, requesting 64 kbits/s and
stereo will result in a 128 kbits/s compressed MPEG stream. Supported bitrates (per channel) and
compression ratios are as follows:

Layer II uses a more sophisticated compression algorithm than Layer I, so it is recommended that Layer
II be used wherever possible.
