Ableton Live can access a total of 12 inputs and 40 outputs for a total of 52 CV-ready
channels:
● The 12 preamp/combo inputs. Make sure ‘DC COUPLED INPUTS’ is active in the
Control Panel’s Settings Window, use the Line or Direct settings and start at unity
gain (0dB) for each channel.
● The 2 ReAmp outputs.
● The Monitor A L/R and Monitor B L/R outputs.
● The 16 line outputs on DB-25 breakout cables.
● The Headphone 1 and Headphone 2 outputs.
How to get started
1. Bring the audio output from your Eurorack modular down to line-level using a dedicated
output module.
2. Connect your modules to the Orion Studio Synergy Core.
3. Enter the Control Panel ‘Routing’ tab. Route the I/O channels you occupied into the
COMP REC row.
4. Launch Ableton Live and set up your project accordingly.
Safety precautions
1. Make sure to prevent excessive output volume.
2. Never send CV to your speakers.
3. Bring any Trigger and Gate modules’ output down to line-level (about 1v max) before
connecting them to Orion Studio Synergy Core.
