CENTRE THE BRAKING SHOE
The centre screw is for fine adjustment. Read just the braking shoe distance by using
the wire setting screw.
V-BRAKE
1. Push the braking block against the rim and tighten the brake shoe fixing screw.
2. Pull the wire through the cable casing.
3. Set the distance between the brake shoe at the left and the right side to 2mm. Fix
the wire fixing screw.
4. Before using the brake, pull the brake lever to the handlebar approx. 10 times and
check that it is working properly.
CHANGE BRAKE PADS
1. Remove the locking pin from the brake shoe
2. Push the brake pad out of the brake shoe.
3. Make sure that different brake pads are used on the left and the right side
4. Push the new brake pad into the brake shoe mounting and pay attention that the
direction and the holes for the locking pins are correct.
5. It is important to insert the locking pin to fix the brake pads correctly
DISC BRAKES
Bicycles with disc brakes are delivered with a separate manufacturer’s manual for the
brakes. Please read this manual and adhere to its recommendations.
Disc brakes achieve their full potential after approx. 30-100 braking processes, the
same as with motorised vehicles.
