SUSPENSION
If you chose a bicycle type with a suspension ex works, read the manufacturers opera-
ting instruction manual.
To set the rear suspension of a full-suspension model, please read the manual of the
suspension manufacturer. Please also read carefully the manual for full-suspension
mountain bikes.
Suspension that is set correctly guarantees you a safe ride and lots of fun.
GEARSHIFT
The front and rear gearshift are set ex works. The gearshift should not to be adjusted
initially. We recommend the gearshift settings are checked by your specialist dealer.
Further information can be found in the gearshift manufacturer’s manual.
WARNING! It is recommended to avoid the combining “biggest chain wheel and big-
gest gear wheel” as well as “smallest chain wheel and smallest gear wheel”, to
prevent wear and damages of the chain, chain wheel and gear wheel. The strength
of the wear depends very much on care, maintenance and how you intend to use
the bicycle.
Check regularly if the chain is clean and well lubricated. Also let your specialist dealer
check your chain regularly for wear. If you want to check the level of wear by yourself,
please use a gauge for chains which is available from ANSMANN AG or your specialist
dealer. By using the gauge you can see if your chain should be changed.
