INSTRUCTIONS FOR YOUR NEW eBIKE
4
SAFETY AND BEHAVIOUR
1. Please keep up to date with road traffic laws and regulations.
2. Please take care that the size of the frame and the height of the saddle are set
correctly for the rider.
3. Always check the bicycle over before use! The bicycle must be in good repair and the
breaks must work.
4. Ensure to have fully functioning lights when riding at night
5. Always ride the bicycle alone. These bicycles are not designed for two people to
ride at the same time. The exception to this rule is infants. They can be
transported in a suitable child seat.
6. Take special care when riding past parked cars: Car doors could be opened anytime.
7. Always signal before making a turn
8. When riding off-road, take care of animals and plants!
9. Never ride without a helmet and make sure that you are wearing suitable clothing to
ride a bicycle.
SET HEIGHT OF THE SADDLE
Take a seat on the bicycle and grab the
handlebar with both hands.
The saddle should be set in a position
that your heel can almost touch the pe-
dal. Make sure that your hips are
straight. The height of the saddle is
correct when you can stretch your leg up
to 90%.
WARNING! If you have to pull out the
seat post over the marking to set
the correct height, you will require a
larger frame size! The frame might
break or other serious damage could be caused!
For younger riders who are still growing, the position of the saddle should be checked
every two or three months!
Take note of the torque at the seat post fixing screw when you are changing the saddles
position. For screws with the thread size M5 6NM are appropriate, for M8 20NM is the
recommended torque. Make sure that the saddle is fixed well on the seat post before
every ride.
WARNING! We do not take any liability for accidents due to the wrong torque at the
seat post.
