LIST OF WEAR PARTS
ANSMANN AG does not provide any guarantee for wear parts
CHAIN
Due to its way of function the chain is subject of wear. The level of wear depends on
the care, the maintenance and the way of use of the bicycle (driving performance, ri-
ding in the rain, dirt, salt, etc.). Take care that the chain is regularly cleaned and lub-
ricated. This can extend the durability of the chain. When the limit of wear is reached
the chain has to be replaced.
SPROCKETS, CHAIN WHEELS, GEARSHIFT ROLLS
Due to its way of function bicycles with a chain shifting the sprockets, the chain
wheels and the gearshift rolls are subject of wear. The level of wear depends on the
care, the maintenance and the way of use of the bicycle (driving performance, riding
in the rain, dirt, salt, etc.). Take care that the sprockets, the chain wheels and the
gearshift rolls are regularly cleaned and lubricated. This can extend the durability of
the individual components. When the limit of wear is reached the particular parts have
to be replaced.
Shifting and Braking Cables
Shifting and braking cables have to be maintained in regular intervals can be replaced
if necessary. This is especially important if the bicycle is often influenced by weather.
BRAKING PADS
Due to the way of function the braking pads of rim, drum and disc brakes are subject
of wear. The level of wear depends on the way of use of the bicycle. When the bicycle
is used for sport or in mountainous areas, replacing the braking pads might be neces-
sary in shortened intervals. Check the braking pads regularly and let them replace by
a specialist dealer if necessary.
RIMS (RIM BRAKE)
Due to the cooperation of rim and rim brake as well as the braking pads they are sub-
ject of wear. Due to this the rim should be checked for the level of wear regularly
(when pumping up for example).
The appearance of fine cracks of deformation of the rim flange when the pressure in-
creases is indicating an increasing wear. In this case a specialist dealer should replace
the rim immediately. Rims with indications of wear make it possible for the rider to
estimate the level of wear on his own.
Observe the information in this general information and on the rim itself.
TIRES
Tyres are subject to wear. The level of wear depends very much on the way the bicycle
is used and can be influenced very much. The durability is shortened very much when
the rider is braking very hard and the tyre is blocking. The air pressure should be che-
cked regularly and if necessary pumped up to the level recommended by the
producer.
