Ansmann zinc-carbon batteries do not release toxic chemicals under normal conditions of processing
or use. They are not classified as dangerous goods by the US Department of Transportation or the mayor
international regulatory bodies and are therefore not regulated.
As an article, this battery and it's contents are not subject to the requirements of the Emergency Planning
and Community Right-To-Know-Act.
