Condensation may form inside the sound moderator while shooting. The sound mode-
rator should be unscrewed from the rifle barrel within a reasonable period of time after
shooting. Failure to do so can lead to the corrosion of the rifle barrel. It is therefore
advised to remove the sound moderator when transporting the firearm. At the end of
the hunting day/after use, the sound moderator should be unscrewed. Store the sound
moderator so that air can pass through unimpeded, and so that the sound moderator
can dry out. Placing the sound moderator on a radiator speeds up this process.
Overbarrel model:
Before assembling the adapter thread, monocore [3OB], thread of the bolt cap
[1OB] and cap centring chamfer, oil or grease with a small amount of high-performan-
ce grease (Recommended: FlunaTec GunCoating).
Qucik Connect model:
The whole bayonet interface (parallel pins, O-rings, centring diameter) must be clean
and covered with a light film of oil (standard gun oil or silicone spray). The Quick
Connect barrelled action is optimally protected against smoke and combustion residues
by two O-rings. However, we do recommend wiping the interface as described above,
and lightly oiling it with Fluna Tec GunCoating.
Cleaning:
For normal use, we recommend carrying out basic cleaning after 50–100 shots,
or after a prolonged period (approx. 2 months) with no use. To do this, dismantle the
sound moderator into its individual parts and clean with standard gun cleaning agents.
If the sound moderator is soaked or contaminated with foreign substances, it must be
cleaned immediately. It is generally advisable to spray the monocore [2OB/3QC]
with a small amount of gun oil after cleaning.
