3. Overbarrel model – mounting and dismounting • The threads must be free from dirt. • The open/close function of the supplied universal key [4OB] must be strictly observed. • The middle “close” section is used to screw on the monocore [3OB] and the “open” section to unscrew the monocore [3OB]. • By holding the circumference of the sound moderator barrel [2OB] with one hand, no second key is necessary for mounting the sound moderator.
• The middle “close” section is used to screw on bolt cap [1OB] and the monocore [3OB] and the “open” section to unscrew the bolt cap [1OB] and monocore [3OB]. • By holding the circumference of the sound moderator barrel [2OB] with one hand, no second key is necessary for mounting the sound moderator. • Only mount and dismount by hand; none of the parts for mounting/dismounting may be clamped in a vice or other clamping devices.
. Maintaining the sound moderator Condensation may form inside the sound moderator while shooting. The sound moderator should be unscrewed from the rifle barrel within a reasonable period of time after shooting. Failure to do so can lead to the corrosion of the rifle barrel. It is therefore advised to remove the sound moderator when transporting the firearm. At the end of the hunting day/after use, the sound moderator should be unscrewed.
. Miscellaneous Muzzle threadings: Muzzle threadings must be installed by an authorised gunsmith. When doing so, the tolerances and the placement of a perfect plane surface between the thread and barrel are essential. Lightly grease muzzle threadings with a small amount of high-performance grease. Temperature/heat-resistance: Maximum working temperature 200°C. 10 shots in quick succession with a normal caliber (e.g. 308 Win.) bring the temperature of the sound moderator up to 200°C.

. Mounting the Quick Connect model on the muzzle adapter Mounting step 1: Sound moderator mod. Hold the Quick Connect in the region of the sound moderator [2QC]. Mounting step 2: Sound moderator mod. Slide the Quick Connect onto the Quick Connect adapter up to the end position, then slowly turn the sound moderator in an anti-clockwise direction (in the direction of “Lock” arrow), applying light pressure until the pin of the error-proofing device is threaded into the guide slot of the adapter.
