15.1 General
WARNING!
Danger to life!
Danger to life from a loaded firearm.
Ensure that the firearm is unloaded before use and dur-
ing maintenance and cleaning work.
CAUTION!
Injury and material damage!
Danger of injury or physical damage as a result of not re-
moving the oil from the barrel and chamber.
Before each time you shoot the rifle you must remove
any oil or foreign objects from the barrel and chamber.
NOTE!
The rifle should be protected from dust, sand, mois-
ture, heat and damaging influences.
NOTE!
After each use of the firearm, apply a thin film of oil
to the steel parts and thoroughly clean the barrel.
When the rifle is transported from cold to warm
rooms, condensation can form on the metal parts
and inside the barrel. If this condensation is not
quickly dried off, it can lead to surface rust forma-
tion under certain circumstances.
NOTE!
To reduce the risk of breaking the stock during
transport, ANSCHÜTZ recommends separating the
barrelled action from the stock, especially during
air travel.
NOTE!
The rifle case / soft case should be cleaned
regularly and any dust and fluff removed.
Rifle cases and soft cases should have a smooth,
dust-repellent lining.
When not in use, the rifle case / soft case should
always be left open to allow moisture to escape.
Enclosing a desiccant can reduce the formation of
moisture.
