3 The firearm is unloaded and uncocked.
9. Setting the safety/releasing
9.1 Engaging the safety catch
Slide the safety catch [17] in cocked position to the rear (in the direc-
tion of the arrow) ("S" is visible).
NOTE!
The safety catch can only be set/released when the
firearm is cocked, i.e if the bolt is open (firing pin
cocked) or after the loading procedure/bolt closed
(firing pin and trigger cocked).
The general "Setting the safety/Release" proce-
dure is described as follows.
NOTE!
The safety catch must engage exactly and must not
sit between the end stops.
3 The firearm is cocked and the safety catch is engaged.

With the trigger pulled [14], close the bolt [3] using your thumb (push
in the direction of the arrow to the end stop)..

3 The magazine [12] is unlocked and can be taken out.
Withdraw the magazine [12] from the magazine guide by hand.
CAUTION!
Physical damage!
After it is unlocked, the magazine may fall out of the maga-
zine guide on its own.
Place a hand under the magazine when unlocking it.
Push the magazine release lever [13] forwards (in the direction of the ar-
row) and hold it in position.
