X Open the breech [2] (pull back in the direction of the arrow
to the end stop).

9 A cartridge is brought to the loading position from the loaded
magazine [11] by opening the breech [2].
X Close the breech [2] (slide up to the stop in the direction
of the arrow) and push the bolt handle [3] downwards.

Closing the action feeds the cartridge into the barrel.

9 The rifle is now ready to shoot (loaded and cocked).
X Engage the safety catch (see Chapter 10).

in a safe direction.
h Engage the safety catch after loading the rifle.

9 The rifle is fully loaded and the safety catch is engaged.

possible malfunctions after securing.
h Even when the safety catch is engaged, the
muzzle of a firearm must never be pointed in
a direction where it can can cause damage
or endanger life.


