Q : My Galaxy S4 doesn’t recognize specific NFC tags that my Galaxy S3 does. What’s the problem?

A : Sorry for your inconvenience.

The Galaxy S4 uses a Broadcom Co. Chipset. The Galaxy S3 uses the NXP Co. chipset.

So, Galaxy S4 will not support specific NFC tags which are related with patent right of NXP Co

as a result.

Please refer the specification of NFC tags that

the Galaxy S4 supports.

< Supported tag> : NFC Forum type 1 ~ 4, Mifare DesFire,

Mifare UltraLight, Mifare UltraLightC

<Not-Supported tag> : Mifare Classic series

(Mifare Classic 1K, 4K, Mifare Mini,

Mifare Plus 2K, Mifare Plus 4K)
