6. Due to power dissipation, the Remote Unit may reach a very high temperature. Ensure sufficient
airflow for ventilation. A minimum distance of 300 mm to ceiling, floor, etc. must be maintained
above and below the unit. Also, observe the instructions in the individual mounting procedures.
7. For outdoor installations, the pre-mounted front cover must be installed.
8. For indoor installations where the ambient temperature can reach above 40°C, the cover must be
removed.
9. When connecting and mounting the cables (RF, optical, mains, …) ensure that no water can
penetrate into the unit through these cables.
If any different or additional mounting material is used, ensure that the mounting remains as safe as the
mounting designed by the manufacturer. Ensure that the static and dynamic strengths are adequate for
the environmental conditions of the site. The mounting itself must not vibrate, swing or move in any
way that might cause damage to the Remote Unit.
Both units must be connected via a cable bridge. For details as well as for connecting further EUs refer
