Personal safety
 Do not use the appliance when under the inuence of drugs, alcohol or
medicaon. Stay alert at all mes when using the appliance.
 Always wear personal protecve equipment when using the appliance. This
includes eye protecon, dust mask, non-skid safety shoes and hearing
protecon.
 Ensure the switch is in the o posion before connecng it to the power source.
When carrying the power tool always ensure that it is in the o posion and
unplugged from the power source.
 When using the appliance do not overreach, maintain proper foong and
balance at all mes.
 Never wear loose clothing and remove jewellery before use. Keep your hair,
clothing and gloves away from moving parts. Loose clothing, jewellery or long
hair can be caught in moving parts.
Power tool safety
 Do not use the power tool if the switch does not turn the appliance on and o. If
the appliance can not be controlled with the switch it is dangerous and must be
repaired.
 Before carrying out any maintenances, repairs, changing accessories or storing
the power tool disconnect it from the electrical supply.
Appliance specic safety
 Keep your body away from the cuer blades at all mes. Do not remove cut
material or hold material to be cut when the blades are moving. When clearing
jammed material always turn the appliance o and unplug it from the mains
supply.
 Carry the hedge trimmer by its handles at all mes. Switch the appliance o.
When transporng or storing the hedge trimmer always t the blade cover.
 Always keep the cable away from the cung area.
