Before operang the appliance
Always ensure that the black collecon bag is aached to the body of the
appliance by the hooks so that it collects the debris coming out of the discharge
shoot.
Examine the materials to be shredded before starng. Remove any debris or
objects that are likely to become jammed or entangled in the blades of the
appliance. Foreign objects such as large lumps of soil, stones, glass, metals,
fabrics or plascs must not enter the feed chute, otherwise they can damage the
blades.
Always operate the machine on a rm level ground. Do not move the appliance
during operaon.
Before feeding materials into the chute allow the blades to reach maximum
speed.
The machine should be used to shred the following materials:
- Twigs and branches (maximum diameter 40mm)
- Waste from trimming hedges
- Plant material and other garden waste
- Leaves and plant roots (remove the soil before shredding)
Do not overload the appliance as the discharge chute will become blocked. This
could cause the material to build up and reach the cung blades causing
material to spray out of the top of the appliance.
To make ner compost pass the material through the shredder twice.
To avoid large quanes of liquid building up in the appliance dry the materials
you want to shred for a minimum of 3 days before shredding. A large build of
water in the appliance can cause the appliance to malfuncon.
Large branches however are best shredded when they are fresh, this is the only
excepon.
Please be aware that if the appliances blades stalls during operaon switch the
appliance o immediately before aempng maintenance or repair.
