How to use
Before using the product for the rst me we recommend that you wash the
steamer and chopscks by hand in hot soapy water.
Start the cooking process by placing the bamboo steamer on top of a similar
sized pan or a pot lled with water. Make sure that the steamer is secure
before beginning the cooking process.
Alternavely you can use a pot, saucepan or wok that is larger than the
steamer. This should be done by placing a suitable rack at the boom of the
chosen cooking utensil. The steamer should then be placed on top of the rack
ensuring that the base of the steamer is above the level of the water.
Ensure that you have enough water so it does not run dry whilst cooking. It is
vitally important that the water level in the utensil does not go into the
steamer, as this would result in the food becoming boiled and not steamed.
We recommend that you line the steamer tray with banana leaves, leuce,
Chinese Pak Choi or aluminum foil. This will stop the food from scking to the
boom of the steamer tray.
Place the food that you require to cook in the steamer in a single layered
fashion. Do not put food directly on top of each other. Making sure that
there is space le around the food as this will allow the steam to circulate.
The Steamer has two trays which can be used at the same me or singularly,
in accordance with the amount of food you wish to cook. When using both
trays to cook with we recommend that you swap the steamers half way
through the cooking process. This will ensure that the food is cooked evenly;
cooking mes may vary depending on the type of food being cooked.
Once the food is cooked to your sasfacon remove the hot food safely using
the correct kitchen utensils.
