Using the appliance
 First check that the voltage marked on the product is equal to or greater
than your supply voltage.
 Select a suitable posion (close to an electric socket) on a dry and even
surface.
 Make sure the control buon is turned to the minimum seng and plug in
the appliance.
 There is an invisible protecve coang applied on the hot plates as part of
the manufacturing process. This protecve coang must be removed
before you can use the appliance for the rst me. In order to do this, set
the control to the maximum seng and leave it switched on for approx. 10
minutes. Make sure that the room is properly venlated, as smoke will
develop. This is not a cause for concern; it is the process by which the
protecve coang is removed. Switch o the hot plate and allow it to cool
completely.
 Always use at-boomed saucepans, which make good contact with the
hot plate. The saucepan bases should ideally be of the same size as the hot
plates.
 Select the temperature. The hot plate has a range of temperatures.
 Due to the construcon of the hotplate, residual heat will remain aer you
switch it o. This may be used to keep food warm for a short period of
me. Aer use, turn the temperature dial to minimum and unplug the
appliance from the electrical outlet.
