BATTERY TYPE
The Battery Type parameters controls
the type of charging prole that the
unit will use to charge the battery.
Different types of batteries have
different optimal charging voltages
and currents due to their construc-
tion and chemical composition. This
unit is pre-programmed with four
common battery types.
• Flooded Lead-Acid
• Absorbed Glass Mat (AGM)
• Gel Lead-Acid
• Lithium Ion (Li-on)
You can create your own custom
charging prole using PowerWizard.

CURRENT LIMIT
The Current Limit parameters
controls the unit’s maximum charging
current. Depending on the size and
type of your batteries, this unit’s
standard maximum current may
be more than what is optimal or
recommended. Refer to your battery
manufacturer’s documentation to
determine its maximum safe charg-
ing current.
If needed, the unit’s maximum
charging current can be reduced to
25, 50 or 75 percent of the standard
maximum rating.
