10. Assembling and devices coupling

The   can be used in mulple device conguraon such as a large mul-device screen blend
(hard edge and so edge). In cases where the blended screen involves more than one  device, it
becomes desirable to improve the syncronizaon or eects and transions between the mulple units, to
ensure the consistency of any moving images which cross the boundary between devices. The 
oers a pair of Device Link ports for this purpose.
To use the Device Link feature in a mul-device setup, you will need one standard straight CAT5 ethernet
cable for each device in the setup, less one. Start by connecng the Cat5 cable from the Device Link output
RJ-45 jack of device 1 to the Device link input RJ-45 jack of device 2. Connue to chain output to inputs unl
you reach the last device. Do not connnect a cable from the output of the last device to the input of the rst
device; these jacks should remain empty.

Up to 8 devices can be connected using Device Link.
The Cat5 based Device Link does not pass any video picture informaon. This link can only be used to
synchronize the ming of eects and processing on devices used as part of the same mul-
device screen blend (Hard Edge and So Edge). Video informaon should be shared among devices using
distribuon ampliers to split the sources to each .
The  console is required for mul-device conguraon.
