System Requirements Handheld - Compatibility The KeyPro Bluetooth® keyboard manager has been tested with the several Windows Mobile® powered devices. However at the time of this manual being written not every device have been tested, there is a good possibility that the KeyPro keyboard manager will work. However, MyMobileGear.Com and its suppliers cannot not guarantee the keyboard manager will work with all device(s).
Releasing the Power of Your Windows Mobile® Keyboard Overview KeyPro – Windows Mobile® Edition is a compatible Bluetooth® keyboard management utility built on a Bluetooth® keyboard driver core. This design enables KeyPro to extend the basic Bluetooth® keyboard driver functionality by adding a feature rich environment allowing the user to fully control just about every aspect of their Windows Mobile® pda or smart phone right from their Bluetooth® keyboard.

Installation KeyPro Bluetooth Keyboard Manager Installation Please follow the instructions below to install the KeyPro Bluetooth® keyboard manager. onto your Windows Mobile® device. This is a two-step process. The first is to install the KeyPro files onto your desktop PC. The second step is to use the Active Sync Application Loader to install the KeyPro keyboard manager onto your device.
Installation Continue Device Installation – Active Sync Manager The Windows Active Sync Manager is used for synchronization is also used to install the KeyPro driver onto your device. Simply connect your device to your desktop PC and run the KeyPro [Setup.exe] file. The following prompts on the PC and on the device. 1. Connect your device to PC using supplied cable. 2. Locate the KeyPro “Setup.exe” file and the setup. The screen on the right will be deisplayed. 3.
Installation Continue On-Device Installation 4. Click on the [Yes] option at the bottom of the screen to continue the installation. 5. Bluetooth Setup Keyboard Pairing Now that the KeyPro keyboard manager application is installed on your Windows Mobile® device, the Bluetooth® Manager needs to be configured to work with the keyboard. The following steps show how to [Pair] your Bluetooth® keyboard using the device Bluetooth manager application. 7. Before proceeding with the keyboard pairing, turn on your keyboard. 8. Open the Bluetooth® manager as shown in the figure on the right.

When prompted to enter passkey, type in the [0000] or the appropriate pairing key as needed. 14. Click on the [Next] menu option to continue. 15. Check the [] Serial Port option as shown in the figure on the right and click on the [Finish] menu option to continue.

Note: If the above steps were performed correctly, the keyboard should be listed in the Paired Device list as shown in the figure on the right. Registration KeyPro Registration Key Now that the KeyPro keyboard manager application is installed on the device, the KeyPro application needs to be registered. 1. Open the KeyPro manager application and click on the [Register] option as shown in the figure on the right. If you already have a registration key, continue on to step 2. If you don’t have a key record the “Bluetooth® Device Address” and register online at www.mymobilegear.com for received your key. 2.
Main Options Screen KeyPro Options KeyPro Manager Application options are divided into three main. The following provides details on these options. 1. Layouts: Manage Layouts is used for managing keyboard language layouts. Manage Layouts lets you select the different languages to be used with the keyboard and it also allows you to configure various control features when switching between languages. (Not available at this time) 2. Hotkeys: Manage Hotkeys is used for creating and managing hotkeys.
Manage Hotkeys Key Substitutions (Hotkeys) Usage: Hotkeys (Key Substitutions) are used to help reduce the number of steps required to perform a task such as opening the message application and composing an email. The following list of items is what can be done using KeyPro hotkey system.
Assign Hotkeys Creating & Editing Hotkeys The following screens show how to add your own hotkeys. Setup Hotkey – Main screen used for managing hotkeys. Hotkey main screen displays the list of user defined hotkeys. Before adding new hotkeys be sure your keyboard is connected with the KeyPro manager. 1. Select the option or application you want to assign a hotkey to as shown in the figure on the right. 2.
Keyboard Settings KeyPro Configuration Options The following describe the various options used for managing KeyPro and keyboard. • Keyboard Model – Selection of the current keyboard model to use. • [√] KeyPress Repeating – Checking the Enable Auto Repeat checkbox switches the Auto Repeat function to on. While unchecking the Enable Auto Repeat checkbox switches the Auto Repeat function to off. • Repeat delay – The rate at which the key repeat occurs.
Troubleshooting Problem KeyPro starts but does connect to keyboard. not Possible cause On certain device that use the Widcomm Bluetooth® Stack it is necessary to make initial connection to keyboard in the Bluetooth® Manager. My keyboard is paired but KeyPro indicates keyboard not found. Pressing and holding a key does not repeat characters. Your keyboard must be set as default within KeyPro. My device does not emit key taps when pressing a key.
