Battery charging directly through the ViewPoint
The rechargeable better can be power by connecting the 12 VDC power supply to the
power jack on the side of the ViewPoint (Figure 9). When the battery is charged in
this method, the ViewPoint defaults to a charging cycle of 20 hours, after which it
stops charging the battery regardless of its power level. To completely charge the bat-
tery using the ViewPoint you must unplug the power supply from the power connec-
tor for one-minute and then allow the ViewPoint to check the power level of the bat-
tery and determine that it requires further charging (if any).
