Note Alternatively, you can select Sample Projects»CompactRIO on the left,
then select one of the sample CompactRIO projects to explore. However, creating a
blank project is simpler for now.
4. On the Project Explorer window that appears, right-click the top-level Project item, then
select New»Targets and Devices.
5. On the Add Targets and Devices window that appears, expand Real-Time CompactRIO.
LabVIEW lists the system as the model name followed by the serial number, such as
NI-CRIO-9030-1856AAA. Select the cRIO-9030 and click OK.
6. On the Select Programming Mode dialog that appears, click Continue. The cRIO-9030
now appears as part of the project in the Project Explorer window.
7. You can expand the cRIO-9030 item by clicking the + sign beside it.
