NXA-WAP250G 802.11b/g Wireless Access Point
Updating Firmware
You can upgrade new NXA-WAP250G software from a local file on the management workstation, or
from an FTP or TFTP server.
After upgrading to new software, you must reboot the NXA-WAP250G to implement the new code.
Until a reboot occurs, the NXA-WAP250G will continue to run the software it was using before the
upgrade started.
Upgrade via the Web Page
This web page allows you to download a new software code file from the local web management station
to the NXA-WAP250G using HTTP (FIG. 30).
The displayed items on this page can be described as follows:
New Firmware File — Specifies the name of the code file on the local web management
station. You can use the Browse button to locate the image file locally on the management
station.
Start Upgrade — Starts the download process. Be sure to allow enough time for the
download to complete before rebooting the NXA-WAP250G.
Upgrade via a Remote Server
This web page allows you to download a new software code file from a remote server to the NXA-
WAP250G using FTP or TFTP.
When using an FTP or TFTP server, be sure to first obtain the IP address of the server and note the
correct file path where the NXA-WAP250G software is stored. If upgrading from an FTP server, also
make sure that you have a user account configured on the server with a user name and password
(FIG. 31).
The displayed items on this page can be described as follows:
Remote File — Specifies a software code file download from a remote FTP or TFTP server.
New firmware file — Specifies the name of the code file on the server. A path on the server
can be specified using “/” in the destination file name, providing the path already exists. Other
