Network
The network information page displays the current Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP)
client, DHCP server, and Point-to-Point Protocol over Ethernet (PPPoE) status.
The displayed items on this page can be described as follows:
DHCP Client Setting – Enables the NXA-WAP250G to automatically obtain an IP address
from a DHCP server. When disabled, or if a response is not received from the DHCP server,
the NXA-WAP250G uses the configured static IP settings on the Network > DHCP Client
page. (Default: Disabled)
DHCP Server/NAT Setting – Enables or disables the DHCP server on the NXA-WAP250G.
The NXA-WAP250G DHCP server can assign IP addresses to any wireless client requesting
the service. Addresses are assigned to clients from a common address pool configured on the
Network > DHCP Server/NAT page. (Default: Disabled)
PPPoE Setting – Enables a connection to an Internet service provider using PPPoE. The
PPPoE access user name and password can be set on the Network > PPPoE page.
(Default: Disabled)
Event Log
The Event Log page (FIG. 17) displays system messages generated during system operation. The logged
messages can serve as a valuable tool for isolating NXA-WAP250G and network problems.
The Event Log page displays the last 128 messages logged in chronological order, from the newest to the
oldest. Log messages saved in the NXA-WAP250G’s memory are erased when the device is rebooted.
