Project Menu
The Project menu items are what allow you to make and edit pages, buttons and tables.
 Add Page... - Launches the Add New Page Dialog Window. The project opens with a default
"Main Page" but you need to select Project > Add Page to create more keypad pages.
 Delete Page - Deletes the page currently in view. Deletion of pages requires confirmation.
 Project Properties... - Launches the Project Properties dialog window. This dialog allows you
to set the Project Information, device selection and device color via the Project Information
tab and the Start up and Inactivity pages via the Setup Information tab.
 Page Configuration... - Launches the Page Configuration Dialog Window. This dialog allows
you to edit page information and page layout for selected keypad page.
 Button Item Properties... - Depending upon what button type is selected in the page
navigation window, launches either the Button Properties Dialog Window (keypad button) or
List box Button Properties Dialog Window (list box button).
 Power Assign Codes... - Launches the Power Assignments Dialog Window. KeypadBuilder
can assign channel and address function types based on user parameters.
 Edit Table... - This feature is available if you have a table selected via the Workspace
Navigator - Pages Tab. This menu item launches the Add/Edit List-box Items Dialog Window
 Delete Table - This feature is available if you have a table selected via the Workspace
Navigator - Pages Tab. Deletes the page currently in view. Deletion of pages requires
confirmation.
 List box Items... - This feature is available if you have a table selected via the Workspace
Navigator - Pages Tab. This menu item allows you to add and edit list box items via the Add/
Edit List-box Items Dialog Window.
Transfer Menu
The Transfer Menu enables KeypadBuilder to send and receive configuration files.
 Send to Device... - Opens the Send Configuration Files dialog window. This function allows
you to send both the configuration file and the font file to the keypad device.
Options Menu
The Options Menu allows you to set application features and generate file reports.
 Generate Report - A project report is a listing of DMS device type, fonts used, function
codes allocated and list table data if utilized. KeypadBuilder offers 3 format options for
generating a project report:
 Comma Separated Format (.CSV)
 Text Only Format (.TXT)
 Web Page Format (.HTML)
 Preferences... - Launches the Preferences dialog. Preferences sets the default device features,
project view options and the number of files in the most recently updated files list.
