DIGITAL TV OVER ETHERNET
The AMX Television Distribution System (TDS) line of
products transmit digital TV content over Ethernet
using a multicast-enabled LAN as opposed to
separate dedicated coaxial cables. TDS is an easy-to-
implement digital TV solution. AMX DTV Transmitters
send a complete MPEG2 transport stream, which
can include multiple individual channels of live
programming to AMX DTV Receivers located
at the TV display. DTV Transmitters and
Receivers also send control information
over the same Ethernet network for
centralized management and
control of edge displays.
AMX DTV Receivers are
available in High-Defi nition
and Standard Defi nition
models.
