Section 5 – Displaying and Using the Tuning Screens
5.1 Overview
In This Section
This section shows sample Tuning displays, describes the fields, and explains the
target action. Most of the optimization parameters discussed in this section also
display on the Profit Optimizer Detail screens discussed in Section 4.
Read this section to find out how to:
• Display the Optimizer CV and MV tuning screens
• Read the displays
• Use targets to make tuning changes.
Optimization
Parameters
Optimization parameters are tuning parameters with an economic objective. After
the normal operating objectives for the process have been met, the optimization
parameters tell the controller what additional moves to make to cut manufacturing
costs, increase product, and improve product spec. Use the Optimizer Tuning
screens to set the optimization parameters.
Target Access
Levels
By default, targets on the tuning screens require the ENG key level.
