Critical Bridge
DV
Target ENG
YES/NO targets specify whether the variable is critical to the
optimizer.
This should always be YES, unless
there are special circumstances.
Use This
Bridge DV
Target ENG
YES/NO targets indicate whether the variable is used in
calculations or dropped.
This target is locked YES when the
DV is critical. To remove this DV
from control, set the [CRITICAL DV]
target NO.
# of Bad Reads
Allowed
Target ENG
The number of consecutive bad values allowed:
A predicted value is used for bad values up to the number of bad
reads allowed.
Bad values display as - - - - - dashes, and the DV shows a yellow
PRED status.
When allowed bad reads are exceeded:
Critical Bridge DVs – Optimizer shuts down, and Bridge DV
shows a red CRIT status.
Non Critical Bridge DVs – Bridge DV is dropped and shows a
yellow DROP status.
WARNING
Running the optimizer with bad
bridge DV values can have serious
consequences. Do not set this
parameter >1 unless you are
thoroughly familiar with your
process.
Unbiased BDV
Model PV
Read-Only No Access
The uncorrected, raw, predicted value. The value without a
mathematical bias applied.
To get an idea of the accuracy of
your model, trend the unbiased
model DV against the actual DV.
Application Notes
For a descriptive message about a parameter and its CDS location, touch the
parameter name (the field, not the target). Select

to clear the message.
