Section 3 – Displaying and Using the Summary Screens
3.1 Overview
In This Section
This section shows sample Summary displays, explains the fields, and tells you how
to work the screens. Read this section to find out how to:
• Display the CV, MV, DV, BDV, and CC Summary screens
• Read the fields and use the targets to make control changes
• Set combined constraints operating ranges
• Enter combined constraints setpoints
• Display the CV, MV, DV, BDV, and CC Detail screens.
Optimizer
Summaries
Optimizer summary information is the operating information about a variable: what
the variable should be doing, what the variable is actually doing, and what the
variable is predicted to do.
• CV Summary The CV summary display lists all of the CVs, showing status,
operating values, and limits.
• MV Summary The MV summary display lists all of the MVs, showing status,
operating values, and limits.
• DV Summary The DV summary display lists all of the DVs, showing status
and current value.
• Bridge DV Summary The bridge output summary display lists all of the bridge
output points, showing status, operating values, estimated values, and steady
state values.
• Combined Constraints Summary The combined constraints summary display
lists all of the combined constraints, showing status, operating values, limits, and
setpoints.
Fifteen variables display on a screen. Use the page forward button (top right
corner) to display the rest of the variables when an application has more than 15.
Control Details
Selecting a variable description on a Summary screen calls the Detail display,
which shows the limits, tuning, configuration, and optimization parameters for the
variable.
