Optimizer Speed
Factor
Target ENG
Controls how fast the optimizer is to drive
the Profit Controllers (RMPCTs) toward an
optimal economic solution.
The math:
6 x ST
OSF
RES=
Where
ST
= Average settling time of the system
OSF = Optimizer speed factor
RES = Time to the economic solution (in settling
times)
Increasing the Optimizer Speed Factor decreases the
time to the solution.
Example:
An Optimizer Speed Factor of 1.0 means you want
the optimizer to attempt to reach the optimal solution
within six times the average settling time. 2.0 means
within three times.
Optimizer Speed
Coordination
Target ENG
Coordination factor to handle the different
Profit Controller speeds.
The value range is zero to one.
0 = ignore controller speed differences
1 = optimizer moves at slowest controller
speed
SS Objective Value
Read-Only No Access
Economic objective function value with
projected steady state values.
Cur Objective Value
Read-Only No Access
Economic objective function value with
current CV and MV values
DQP Engine #
Read-Only No Access
Engine version number.
This is useful for checking that an engine update has
been successful.
Number of RMPCTs
Target ENG
Number of Profit Controllers configured for
optimization.
Enter the number of Profit Controllers from the off-line
design.
Number of BDVs
Target ENG
Number of bridged output disturbance
variables configured in the control solutions
(in the prediction and control calculations).
Enter the number of bridge DVs from the off-line
design.
