optimizer
1. On the main menu, touch the
optimizer name.
2. Press <ENTER>.
3. Select [ON] on the Optimizer
Bar.
ATTENTION
On startup, it is best to first set the
optimizer to WARM, watch its
moves, then set the optimizer ON.
See Notes below.
This Is an
Existing
Optimizer
• If the optimizer is the current
optimizer, touch ON.
• If the optimizer is not the
current optimizer, return to the
main menu, select the
optimizer, then touch [ON] on
the Optimizer Bar.
Notes
• With the optimizer in WARM, it makes optimizer and prediction calculations
without affecting the live process. For a new optimizer, use WARM mode.
• WARM provides the opportunity to watch the variables on the Optimizer
Summary and Detail screens to see what the optimizer responses are to the
process inputs. When switched ON, you then know that the optimizer is in sync
with the process and the tuning is reasonable.
• WARM gives you the chance to troubleshoot the optimizer design and tuning if
the start-up responses you notice are unreasonable or unsatisfactory.
