Step Action Comments
1 Make sure that the optimizer you want
displays in the current optimizer box on
the Optimizer Bar.
Select optimizer from the main menu.
2 From any Profit Optimizer display, touch
[
OFF] on the Optimizer Bar.
This takes Profit Optimizer off-line from the
process. Even though control is off, however,
Profit Optimizer continues to track the process
and make predictions. There is no control
output.

Notes
•OFF When Profit Optimizer is off, it continues to track the process and
execute its prediction calculations. It does not, however, execute its
optimization calculations or output control moves.
• INACTIVE When the optimizer point is INACTIVE, it is entirely shut away
from the process. Profit Optimizer is not updating its model matrix (is not
following process changes), is not making optimizer or prediction calculations,
and is not outputting control moves.
• WARM In WARM mode, Profit Optimizer continues to track the process and
execute both the prediction and optimizer calculations, but there is no control
output.
