Step Action Comments
1 Make sure that the controller you want
displays in the current controller box on
the Controller Bar.
Select controllers from the Profit Controller
(RMPCT) main menu.
2 On the MV Detail display, touch [MODE]. [MODE] toggles control between RMPC and
OPR.
A blue border surrounds critical MVs. Critical
MVs cannot have their mode changed.
3 Press <ENTER>.

About MV modes:
Mode Description
RMPC MV is available for Profit Controller (RMPCT) control.
OPR Critical MVs Critical MVs cannot be switched from CAS to MAN. When critical
MVs go bad, the controller shuts down (OFF) and control sheds to the default
regulatory mode.
Non Critical MVs Non critical MVs can be dropped when they go bad, or used
as feedforward variables.
• DROP = MV is dropped from both the prediction and control calculations.
• FFWD = MV is treated as a feedforward disturbance.
