Appendix – Operator’s Quick Reference
Overview
Engineers–Read
This
This section is composed especially for Operators, but there is also information
for you here, too. Make sure you are familiar with the procedure for inactivating
a controller point, and for taking down an AM.
How Tasks Are
Described
OPER Access This appendix concentrates on describing tasks usually performed
by Operators (OPER access). Consequently, the information in this section is
given in a vernacular suitable to that emphasis.
So, for example, to find information about a Tuning screen (which is more
Engineer habitat than Operator) you find it under "Displaying the CV, MV
Optimization Parameters," rather than, perhaps, "Changing the CV and MV
Optimization Parameters."
Tasks described here include the procedure (appropriate to OPER access),
comments about the procedure, and Notes.
ENG Access For convenience, tuning, optimization, and configuration help is
included in the Comments column in the tables and in the Notes.
For Tuning
Information
Engineers: For help with tuning, optimization, and configuration, see the
publications listed in the References section.
About the
Procedure Tables
Task descriptions include instructions (the steps) for displaying the Profit
Optimizer screens and how to work them. This can include what target or
sequence of targets to press, when to enter a value, and the different ways to do
the work if more than one way is possible.
Additional help is given as notes following the procedures to introduce related
information or to define terms.
Use available space on the page beneath the Notes to jot your own task-specific
notes about working the displays.
