Message: Handling constraints II (OPT)
Warning
Meaning Suggested Response
The control objectives of two or more CVs are
competing for resolution. There are currently
insufficient degrees of freedom to optimize.
Notify your supervisor or a Control Engineer.

Message: No MVs can be moved (OPT)
Information
Meaning Suggested Response
Active upper and lower limits for ALL MVs are
set equal. Profit Optimizer cannot make any
moves.
This condition remains until intervened. On the MV Summary
display, either (1) Increase the range on some of the MVs, or
(2) Cascade some of the MVs.

Message: Too many iterations used (OPT)
Warning
Meaning Suggested Response
The optimizer could not find a solution within a
reasonable number of iterations.
If the problem persists, call the Honeywell Technical
Assistance Center.

Message: Input data or memory problem (OPT)
Error
Meaning Suggested Response
There is an AM memory or software error. Try the following:
1. Rebuild and reload the controller.
2. Ensure that you are running the proper version of Profit
Optimizer for your AM.
3. Reload the AM.
If the error persists, note the message number, and call the
Honeywell Technical Assistance Center.

Message: Limits are crossed (OPT)

Soft high limit < low limit. Either:
• Relax the soft limits, or
• Open the operating range.
