Backplane Components (Cont.):
Device DIP switch The DEVICE DIP switch is used to set SLOT 1 of the CardFrame to
one of 255 devices in an Axcess or Axcent
2
system. Each subsequent
slot in the CardFrame is automatically assigned to the next device
number. The device number is set by the total of all ON (up) switches.
See the chart below. For example, the DIP switch below is set for
device number 18 (2 + 16 = 18).
Mounting options • Rack, shelf, or wall mounting; rack mount ears can be removed or
pivoted 90 degrees.
• Optional cable support bracket with three-step adjustment for rack or
shelf installation.
