Listing
Host Computer The computer to which the
keyboard is connected. This could
be an IBM PC™, XT™, AT*,
PS/2™, or an Amstrad PC 1512
or PC 1640.

Make Code
The KB 101 keyboard uses a
5-pin
DIN connector to connect
to the host computer. This
connection carries the signals
necessary for the keyboard and
host computer to communicate.
Light Emitting Diode. The KB
101 keyboard contains three LEDs
that are used to show the status of
the Num Lock, Caps Lock and
Scroll Lock keys. Each LED
illuminates when the function is
active.
The scan code produced when a
key is pressed. Also referred to as
a "down" scan code.
Mode Switch The mode switch consists of eight
ON/OFF toggles housed within
the keyboard. Different switch
settings allow the KB 101 key-
board to be compatible with the
IBM PC, XT, AT and PS/2
Models, and the Amstrad PC 1512
and PC 1640 computers.
