and Pipe Locator
Buried utilities pose a hazard to excavation crews and a major challenge to
electricians who need to trace and troubleshoot lines. Errors in digging can
cause cable or pipe damage and result in personal injury and costly repairs.
Faster and more accurate than anything else on the market, the
AT-5000’s superior design and powerful software sets the standard for
locating and pinpointing faults in underground systems. Distance-
sensitive left / right indication guides the user to the exact location of the
buried utilities, saving time and effort. Signal Select and Distortion Alert keeps
the user on the target line by visually indicating a clean traced line, versus the
“ghost” and ‘return’ path of false signals coming from the neighboring lines.

• Three testing modes for best accuracy:
- Passive power mode (50, 60, 100 and 120 Hz) – traces energized lines conducting current
- Passive radio mode (RF) – using surrounding radio waves to trace underground object
- Active mode - T-5000 signal generator with broad frequency selection between 491 Hz
and 166 kHz with induction mode or directly connected to the cable with test leads or
optional clamp
- Active mode depth measurement up to 20’ (6 m)
• Ergonomically designed, lightweight handheld receiver is designed for comfort and balanced
for all day use
• Receiver’s bright color ¼ VGA graphical display and audible signals provide clear readings
