3.5 SETUP 3—BIOS FEATURES SETUP
Use SETUP 3 to set a variety of BIOS feature options. Figure 3–3 shows what can be configured on
SETUP 3, and the sections that follow describe each parameter.

This SETUP screen allows you to configure the following parameters:
Virus Warning—monitors for writes to the hard disk boot sector. If a write is detected, the BIOS
will display the following warning message, beep the speaker and wait for user confirmation.

type "Y" to accept, any key to abort

CPU Internal Cache—enable or disable the 16K Pentium internal cache.
External Cache—enable or disable the 256K secondary cache.
Quick Power On Self Test—when enabled, the POST will skip some tests in order to shorten the
POST time.
Boot Sequence—determines which drive to search first for the disk operating system.
