Four buffered serial ports with full handshaking
− Implemented with 16550-equivalent controllers with built-in 16-byte FIFO buffers
− Onboard generation of RS232C signal levels
− Each channel supports either RS232C (direct connection) or RS485 (via Ampro RS485 Adapter)
− Logged as COM1, COM2, COM3, and COM4 by DOS
Multimode Parallel Port
− Superset of standard LPT printer port
− Bi-directional data lines
− IEEE-1284 (EPP/ECP) compliant
− Standard hardware supports all four IEEE-1284 protocol modes
