Pressing
a
function
key or
pressing
SHIFT/function-key
transmits
a
three-character
sequence:
SOH
(start
of
header)
=
CTRL/A,
the
ASCII character associated with
the
function key,
and a CR
(carriage return).
The
ASCII character transmitted
by
each function
key
is
given
in
Table 3-7.
