Double-Wide
A
double-wide character
is
formed using adjacent columns
on the
same
line:
each letter
fills
two
columns.
NOTE: when
you
specify double-wide characters
for a
row,
any
characters
in the
right half
of the row are
lost.
To
enter double-wide characters:
1.
With
the
cursor
on the
desired row, enter
the
sequence
ESC p 1
2.
Type
in the
desired characters.
To
return
a row of
double-wide characters
to
single-wide
characters,
1.
With
the
cursor
on the
appropriate row,
enter
the
sequence
ESC p 0
Double
High
and
Wide
A
double-high,
double-wide character
is
formed
by
combining
the two
approaches above,
using adjacent rows
and
adjacent columns
to
form each character. NOTE: when
you
specify
double-wide characters
for a
row,
any
characters
in the
right
half
of the row are
lost.
To
enter
the top of the
each character:
1.
With
the
cursor
on the
upper row, enter
the
sequences
ESC m 1 ESC p 1
2.
Type
in the
desired characters.
To
enter
the
bottom half
of
each character:
1.
With
the
cursor
on the tower
row, enter
the
sequence
ESC m 2 ESC p 1
2.
Type
in
the
same characters
as
above.
To
return
to a row of
double-high,
double-wide characters
to
single-high, single-wide
characters,
1.
With
the
cursor
on the
appropriate row, enter
the
