ACL Utilities acl_move_volume
5.9 acl_move_volume
NAME
acl_move_volume - move the specified tape cartridge to another ACL location.
SYNOPSIS
acl_move_volume -barcode <barcode> -to <destination_location>
[ -f <device_special_file> ]
acl_move_volume -help [ help_type ]
DESCRIPTION
acl_move_volume moves the specified tape cartridge to another ACL location. It fails if the
barcode ID is not found, the target location is full, an invalid target location is specified, or a
cabinet door is open.
DST 412 ACLs can only move a tape cartridge to a storage bin or the tape drive. DST 712 and
812 ACLs can move a tape cartridge to any location (tape drive, storage bin, IMEX bin, or
CHS).
When the source location is a tape drive, the tape cartridge to be moved must already be
located in the drive load port; that is, the drive must have already ejected the cartridge. To force
the drive to eject the tape cartridge, run the dst_unload_tape utility before running
acl_move_volume (see the DST/DIS Tape Drive UNIX Programmer’s Guide).
acl_move_volume() is available to all users.
OPTIONS
-f <

ARGUMENTS
-help [
