-stdout <
output_spec>
Specifies the output fields written to stdout. You must provide -stdout <output_spec> and
-element <element_location> arguments for this utility (except when using the -help
argument).
The -stdout <output_spec> argument supports the following keywords for status reporting:
Note: DST 712 and DST 812 ACLs can transfer a tape cartridge to and from the CHS; a
DST 412 ACL cannot.
%access Displays the access status of the location (not valid for the CHS):
+ Plus (+) indicates that the ACL can transfer a tape cartridge to or
from the location.
- Minus (-) indicates that the ACL cannot transfer a tape cartridge to
or from the location.
%barcode Displays the contents of the location:
+ Plus (+) indicates that the location contains a tape cartridge, but
the barcode ID is unknown.
- Minus (-) indicates that the location does not contain a tape
cartridge.
barcode - six-digit barcode ID of the tape cartridge in the location
(when available). Not valid for a DST 412 CHS.
%exception Displays the exception status of the location:
+ Plus (+) indicates an abnormal or unknown state.
- Minus (-) indicates a normal state.
%locname Displays the location name (see paragraph 3.2.1 on page 3-1).
%loctype Displays the location type:
bin - storage bin.
chs - cartridge handling system.
drive - tape drive.
imex - import/export bin.
%locaddr Displays the location address (see paragraph 3.2.1 on page 3-1).
%cartsz Displays the size of the tape cartridge stored in a location.For the CHS,
%cartsz returns
Full or Empty. For all other elements %cartsz
returns one of:
Unknown, Small, Medium, Large, or Empty.
