The acl_audit_element and acl_audit_library utilities return the following information for
an element:
• Access permission (allowed or disallowed).
• Contents (empty or full).
• Tape cartridge barcode ID (when available).
• Element state (normal or abnormal/unknown).
• Location name.
• Location type (element type: bin, CHS, drive, or IMEX).
For additional information such as door status or CHS position, use the aclStatus() function
or the acl_status_library utility.
Data Transfer Element Element address—address of the data transfer element (tape
drive) for which status is being reported
CHS access permission—allowed or disallowed
Element state—normal or abnormal
Empty or full—tape cartridge present or not
Tape cartridge volume tag—bar code ID
Tape cartridge size
Import/Export Element
(8XX)
Element address—address of the import/export element
(IMEX bin) for which status is being reported
CHS access permission—allowed or disallowed
Element state—normal or abnormal
Empty or full—tape cartridge present or not
ASC/ASCQ condition
Tape cartridge volume tag—bar code ID
