The residual heat indicator
Once a cooking zone is switched off, „H” is displayed on the relevant cooking zone’s display
to warn that the „cooking zone is still hot!”.
Do not touch the cooking zone at this time owing to the risk of burns from resi-
dual heat, and do not place any object on it which is sensitive to heat!
When the residual heat indicator goes out, cooking zone can be touched, however keep in
mind that it may still be warmer than ambient temperature.
When there is no power, the residual heat indicator does not light up.
OPERATION
Releasing the child lock function
Switch the appliance on using the on/off sensor eld (1); all displays will show the letter „L
(Locked). To release the Child Lock function simultaneously touch the front right cooking zone
selection sensor eld (5) and sensor eld (4) and once again touch the front right cooking zone
selection sensor eld (3). The appliance will switch itself off (all displays are out).
The Child Lock function must be released within 10 seconds and no sensors elds
other than those described above must be touched. Otherwise the Child Lock
function will not be released.
If the Child Lock function has been released successfully, „0 and a ashing dot
will be shown on all displays once the appliance is switched on using the on/off
sensor eld (1). If cooking zones are still hot, the display will alternate between
showing „0” and the letter „H”.
