SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● Before using the ceramic plate for the first time read the Operating Manual carefully as thus you can ensure safe operation and avoid damage to the plate. If the ceramic plate is operated near a radio, TV set or other emitting device, please check whether the touch panel works correctly. The ceramic plate should be installed by a qualified electrician. Do not install the plate near refrigerating devices.
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS ● ● ● ● ● The heating surface of the ceramic plate is resistant to thermal shock. It is neither hot nor cold-sensitive. Avoid dropping objects on the plate. A point hit, for example a falling bottle with spices, may in unfavourable circumstances lead to cracks and splits appearing on your ceramic plate.
SAVING ENERGY UNPACKING The appliance is protected from damage during transportation by its packaging. INSTALLATION Making the worktop recess l Worktop thickness should be 28 - 40 mm, while its width at least 600 mm. The worktop must be flat and level. Edge of the worktop near the wall must be sealed to prevent ingress of water or other liquids. l There should be sufficient spacing around the opening, in particular, at least 50 mm distance to the wall and 60 mm distance to the front edge of worktop. l The distance between the edge of the opening and the side wall of the furniture should be minimum 55 mm.
INSTALLATION Installing KMC* hob - bracket • • • • Use four “A” brackets for 38 mm thick worktops. Fit the hob into worktop opening as shown on figure2 and 3. To properly secure hob in 28 mm thick worktop, use four 15x15x50 mm wooden blocks in addition to “A” brackets. Fit the hob into worktop opening as shown on figure 4 and 5. Check if adhesive seal is properly applied to the hob’s flange.
INSTALLATION Connecting the plate to the electrical system Note! The plate can be connected to the mains only by a qualified certified installer. Wilful adaptations or modifications to the electric system are prohibited. Guidelines for the installer The plate is factory-set for three-phase alternating current power supply (400 V 3N~50 Hz). It may be adapted for one-phase current power supply (230 V) by adequate bridging on the connection strip, in accordance with the attached wiring diagram.
INSTALLATION DIAGRAM OF POSSIBLE CONNECTIONS Warning! Heating elements voltage - 230V. Warning! In every type of connection protective grounding has to be connected to PE terminal .
OPERATION The ceramic plate is equipped with sensors operated by touching the marked areas with a finger. Every touch of a sensor is confirmed with a sound. When switching the plate on and off and setting the heating power always touch only one sensor. If you touch several sensors at the same time (with the exception of switching off the hotplate or the clock), the system will ignore the entered settings and, should you keep touching the sensors for a long time, will emit a fault signal.
OPERATION Control panel Upon connecting the plate to the mains a short sound signal should be emitted, after which you can operate the plate. Do not put any objects on the area of the sensors (a fault can be trigged), always keep them clean. Switching on the cooking plate If the plate is not in operation, all the hotplates are switched off and the display is blank. When you touch the main sensor , the plate switches on, and all the indicators show “0” for about 10 seconds.
OPERATION Triple and double hotplate To switch on the additional extended hotplate you have to touch the double or triple hotplate sensor (sensor or ) with the finger. A red additional hotplate LED signals that the hotplate has been activated. To switch on the second extended hotplate you have to touch the triple hotplate sensor with the finger once more. The second red LED signals the switching on of this hotplate. To switch off the additional, outer hotplates touch the sensor or again.
OPERATION Automatic power reduction system Every hotplate is provided with automatic power reduction system. If the system is activated, the hotplate will be switched on at its full power for a time depending on the selected heating power level and then the power will be switched to the set heating power level. Touch the sensor (+) to activate the automatic power reduction system. The heating power level “9” and the decimal point are displayed then.
OPERATION Lock function The lock function, activated by the key sensor, prevents the activated hotplate from being accidentally switched off by children, pets etc. If you lock the plate when all the hotplates are switched off, the plate will be protected from unintentional activation and can be operated only when unlocked. After power failure the lock is activated automatically. Locking the control panel function To lock the plate touch the locking sensor until the locking indicator ● is lighted.
OPERATION Operation time limiting To increase reliability of the plate, it is provided with an operation time limiter for each hotplate. The maximal time of operation depends on the last selected heating power level. If the heating power is not changed during the specified time (see the Table), the hotplate will be switched off automatically and the residual temperature indicator “H” will be lighted.
CLEANING AND ROUTINE MAINTENANCE Daily cleaning and proper maintenance have crucial impact on the durability of your ceramic plate. Clean the ceramic plate observing the same rules as for glass. Never use abrasive or aggressive cleaning agents, scrubbing powders or scratching sponges. Cleaning the plate after every use • • Removal of stains Wipe off slight, not-burnt patches of dirt using damp cloth without cleaning agent. Washing liquid can cause blue discoloration to appear on the plate.
CLEANING AND ROUTINE MAINTENANCE Never apply cleaning agent on a hot hotplate. Leave the cleaning agent to dry and then wipe it off with a wet cloth. Any residuals of cleaning agents should be wiped off with a damp cloth before heating the plate for the next time, as otherwise they can have caustic effect. Caution! If from any reason you are not able to control the switched on plate, switch off the main switch or screw out the fuse and call the Customer Service.
EMERGENCY PROCEDURE Every time when emergency situation occurs you should: ● switch off the working assemblies of the plate ● disconnect power supply ● call in the service ● as some minor faults can be removed by the user in accordance with the below specified instructions, before calling the Customer Service please go through the Table checking every point. VEILIGHEIDSINSTRUCTIES • Vooraleer u de keramische kookplaat in gebruik neemt, dient u de gebruikershandleiding door te lezen. Op die manier garandeert u uw eigen veiligheid en voorkomt u beschadiging van de plaat. • Als de keramische plaat gebruikt wordt in de directe nabijheid van een radio, televisie of een ander toestel dat straling uitzendt, moet u controleren of het bedieningspaneel van de keramische plaat correct werkt.
VEILIGHEIDSINSTRUCTIES • Gebruik op de keramische kookplaat enkel potten en pannen met een platte bodem, die geen scherpe randen of uitsteeksels hebben. Anders kunnen er onherstelbare krassen op de plaat ontstaan. • Het verwarmingsoppervlak van de keramische plaat is bestand tegen thermische schokken. Ze is niet gevoelig voor koude of warmte. • Laat geen voorwerpen op de plaat vallen. Puntinslagen bv.
ENERGIEBESPARING UITPAKKEN Door op verantwoorde wijze energie te gebruiken, bespaart u niet alleen op de kosten van het huishouden, maar werkt u ook bewust mee aan de bescherming van het milieu. Laten we daarom ons steentje bijdragen door energiebesparing! Dat kan op de volgende manier: Het toestel wordt door zijn verpakking beveiligd tegen beschadigingen tijdens het transport. Na het uitpakken dient u de verpakkingselementen op milieuvriendelijke wijze te recycleren.

INSTALLATIE Voorbereiding van het werkblad voor inbouw van de kookplaat l De dikte van het werkblad van het meubel dient 28 tot 40 mm te bedragen, de diepte van het werkblad minimaal 600 mm. Het werkblad moet vlak en waterpas zijn. Aan de kant van de muur moet het werkblad worden afgedicht en beveiligd tegen vocht en overlopen. l Aan de voorkant moet de afstand tussen de rand van de opening en de rand van het werkblad minimaal 60 mm bedragen, aan de achterkant minimaal 50 mm.
INSTALLATIE Installatie van kookplaat KMC* - klem • Gebruik bij een werkblad met een dikte van 38 mm, 4 “A”-klemmen voor het bevestigen van de kookplaat. Op de afbeeldingen 2 en 3 is de montagewijze weergegeven. Bij een werkblad met een dikte van 28 mm, gebruikt u naast de “A”-klemmen ook 4 houtblokjes met de afmetingen 15x15x50 mm. Op de afbeeldingen 4 en 5 is de montagewijze weergegeven. Controleer of de dichting goed aansluit op de kookplaat. Draai de klemmen aan de onderkant van de kookplaat licht aan.
INSTALLATIE Aansluiting van de plaat op de elektrische installatie Opgelet! Enkel een erkend installateur met de gepaste kwalificaties mag het toestel op de elektrische installatie aansluiten. Het is verboden om zelf aanpassingen of wijzigingen aan te brengen aan de elektrische installatie. Aanwijzingen voor de installateur De plaat is geproduceerd voor aansluiting op een elektrische voeding met driefasige wisselstroom (400 V 3N ~50 Hz).
INSTALLATIE SCHEMA VAN SCHAKELOPTIES Opgelet! De spanning van de verwarmingselementen bedraagt 230V Opgelet! Bij elke schakeloptie moet de aardingsleiding op de klem aangesloten zijn.
BEDIENING De keramische kookplaat is uitgerust met sensors die bediend kunnen worden door met de vinger de aangeduide oppervlakken aan te raken. Elke bijsturing van een sensor wordt bevestigd met een geluidssignaal. Let erop, dat u bij het aan- en uitschakelen en het instellen van het verwarmingsvermogen slecht één sensor tegelijk indrukt.
BEDIENING Bedieningspaneel Nadat de kookplaat op het elektriciteitsnet aangesloten is, moet er een kort geluidssignaal weerklinken, waarna u de kookplaat kunt opstarten. Plaats geen voorwerpen op de oppervlakken van de sensors (hierdoor kan een defectsignaal gegenereerd worden). Deze oppervlakken moeten steeds rein gehouden worden. Aanschakelen van de kookplaat Als de kookplaat uitgeschakeld is, zijn alle kookvelden uitgeschakeld en branden de indicatoren niet.
BEDIENING Driedubbel en dubbel kookveld Om het uitgebreide aanvullende kookveld aan te schakelen, drukt u met uw vinger op de sensor van het driedubbele of dubbele kookveld (sensor of ). Het aanschakelen van het veld wordt aangegeven door de rode diode. Om het tweede uitgebreide kookveld aan te schakelen drukt u opnieuw met uw vinger op de sensor van het driedubbele kookveld . Het aanschakelen van het veld wordt aangegeven door de tweede rode diode.
BEDIENING Systeem voor automatische vermindering van het verwarmingsvermogen Elk kookveld is uitgerust met een systeem voor automatische vermindering van het verwarmingsvermogen. Als dit systeem geactiveerd wordt, dan wordt het kookveld op volle vermogen aangeschakeld voor een duur die afhangt van het gekozen verwarmingsvermogen. Daarna wordt het automatisch overgeschakeld naar het gekozen verwarmingsvermogen.
BEDIENING Blokkadefunctie De blokkadefunctie, die met de sleutelsensor aangeschakeld wordt, dient om een aangeschakeld kookveld te beschermen tegen ongewenst uitschakelen door kinderen, huisdieren, enz. Als u de kookplaat blokkeert op het moment dat alle kookvelden uitgeschakeld zijn, dan is de kookplaat beschermd tegen ongewenst aanschakelen, en kan ze alleen maar aangeschakeld worden na deblokkering. Na een stroompanne wordt de blokkade automatisch geactiveerd.
BEDIENING Beperking van de werkduur Om het probleemloos functioneren van de kookplaat te verbeteren, is de plaat uitgerust met een begrenzer voor de werkduur van elk van de kookvelden. De maximale werkduur wordt bepaald op basis van het laatst gekozen verwarmingsvermogen. Als u het verwarmingsvermogen lange tijd niet verandert (zie tabel), dan zal het ingestelde kookveld automatisch uitgeschakeld worden en zal de restwarmte-indicator “H” geactiveerd worden.
REINIGING EN ONDERHOUD De zorg waarmee de gebruiker de kookplaat reinigt en onderhoudt, heeft een belangrijke invloed op haar levensduur en probleemloze werking. Bij het reinigen van de keramiek moeten dezelfde regels toegepast worden als voor het reinigen van glazen oppervlakken. Er mogen nooit schurende of bijtende reinigingsmiddelen, schuurzand of schuursponzen met een ruw oppervlak gebruikt worden. Er mogen ook geen reinigingstoestellen met damp gebruikt worden.
REINIGING EN ONDERHOUD Breng nooit reinigingsmiddel op een hete kookplaat aan. Laat de reinigingsmiddelen best wat opdrogen en verwijder ze daarna pas met een natte doek. Eventuele achtergebleven restjes van het reinigingsmiddel kunt u met een vochtige doek verwijderen vooraleer u de plaat opnieuw aanschakelt. Als u de reinigingsmiddelen niet verwijdert, kunnen ze bijtend werken.
HANDELSWIJZE BIJ PROBLEEMSITUATIES Bij elke probleemsituatie moet u: • de werkende onderdelen van de plaat uitschakelen • de elektrische voeding ontkoppelen • een herstelling aanvragen • sommige kleine problemen kan de gebruiker zelf op lossen met behulp van de aanwijzingen in de onderstaande tabel. Controleer opeenvolgend alle punten in de tabel, vooraleer u de onderhouds- of klantendienst contacteert. PROBLEEM OORZAAK HANDELSWIJZE 1.
